A short prayer for a full day
Some days do not have room for a long prayer. They have room for a sentence.
“Lord, give me attention for the next minute.”
Thirty seconds, said slowly, before opening the next work tab. Three things happen.
The first is that you stop. The body understands that a pause is possible in the middle of the day.
The second is that the request is small enough to be honest. Nobody knows how to ask for the whole day. Everybody knows how to ask for the next minute.
The third is that it comes back. A sentence repeated at three moments of the day does more for the habit than a twenty-minute prayer said once a week.
Other short sentences: “Today I hand over what I cannot control” and “Give me peace in the next step”.
In Bibliou you type “short prayer” and receive one of these ready, at the time you choose.
