A prayer before reading the Bible
Opening the Bible without saying anything often becomes automatic reading. A ten-second sentence changes the pace.
Four short verses will do:
- Psalm 119:18 — Open my eyes, that I may see wonderful things in your law.
- Luke 18:38 — Jesus, have mercy on me.
- James 1:22 — Make me a doer of the word.
- Luke 24:45 — Open my mind.
Say one, slowly, before reading. In Bibliou you type “prayer before” and receive one of these.
