How to ask for prayer about something specific
“Please pray for my family” is an honest request, but hard to turn into a concrete prayer.
A simple way to improve it: write the name, the situation and what you want to happen.
Name: who the prayer is for. Situation: what is going on, in one line. Request: what you want, in one sentence.
Examples:
- Family: “My sister Ana is waiting for test results. I ask for health and calm while she waits.”
- Work: “Tomorrow’s meeting with the client. I ask for clarity to say what needs to be said.”
- Health: “My father has knee pain. I ask for relief and patience with the treatment.”
- Decision: “I am choosing between two jobs. I ask for wisdom to pick the one that fits my life.”
A sentence like this is easier to sustain for a week than a generic request.
In Bibliou, you can send the request straight in the chat. It goes into the prayer of the day and does not appear to anyone else.
